"International Coffee Day is a global celebration of coffee's journey from the farm to your local shop - an opportunity to honour the men and women who grow and harvest the coffee we love"

I think Sydney is one of the largest coffee drinkers in the world.
Here coffee isn't just a drink; it's a social medium to grow connections and conversation with others.

Whether you're a cappuccino, weak flat white, soy latte, piccolo, or skim mocha person, you may not be so familiar with cooking with coffee.
Yes that's right, using coffee as an ingredient in your savoury dishes.
Let's have a look at some inspirational recipes.

Grilled Green Salad with Coffee Vinaigrette
Try this with whatever greens are in season.
Baby broccoli bunches are $2 at Coles; Asparagus bunch $1.50 each and Australian Kale $2 each at Woolworths.

Hearty Mole-Style Chili
The forecast today was saying Sydney's going to experience a cooler weather towards the end of the week, so why not warm up with a hearty chili!

Brewed and Braised Cherry Chicken

Brewed and Braised Cherry Chicken
Coffee-rubbed meat? Give it a go!

Carrots Slow-Baked on Coffee Beans
Sweet, smokey, and earthy carrots. Dutch carrots might work best here.

Coffee Onion Jam
Coffee-Onion Jam Recipe
Onion jams are great in sandwiches and curries!

Chipotle and Coffee Tofu Wrap

What an interesting combination!
Tofu is quite bland and absorbs flavour well, so I can imagine it being a great wrap/sandwich filling!
