May 22nd-28th is Australia's Kidney Health Week.

So let's put some of the above facts in to practice and care for our kidneys.

Here are some recipes you can try this week to up your veggies, legumes, fruits and/or wholegrains intake:

Red Lentil Burgers with Kale Pesto

I forgot to mention that the 28th of May is National Burger Day.
And yes you can enjoy a burger and care for your kidneys at the same time.
Kale's on sale at Coles this week, but you can also use spinach, basil, or other greens of your choice for the pesto. Try them on a bed of brown rice like the recipe states, or use some wholegrain burger buns to celebrate National Burger Day!
